Dear AASSA Community,

The COVID-19 Pandemic has been raging ferociously and wreaking havoc not only on people’s health and medical system but on economy and people’s daily lives all over the world. Korea is not an exception to this. The COVID-19 situation in Korea, however, seems to have peaked over last week and the number of confirmed cases has decreased dramatically even though Korea still maintains its limited open-door policy to foreigners and also allows its citizens freedom of movement.

Many countries have asked the Korean Government to share its experience in combating the COVID-19, and at the request of the World Bank, the Korean Government recently published a paper on “Tackling COVID-19: Health, Quarantine and Economic Measures of South Korea.” If you are interested, please find the paper at the following site(http://english.moef.go.kr/pc/selectTbPressCenterDtl.do?boardCd=N0001&seq=4868).
